Acupuncture

Acupuncture taps into the bio-electrical energy of the nervous system to restore balance in the body. The acupuncturist will do a thorough intake of symptoms and medical history, as well as tongue and pulse diagnosis. In addition to acupuncture, treatment may include cupping, guasha, or moxibustion.

Cupping

Glass cups are suctioned to the skin using heat to create a vacuum. Commonly used for pain, cupping breaks up adhesions that form between the muscles and the fascia and improves blood flow to the tissues. Cupping also clears lung congestion and has a detoxifying effect.

Guasha

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique is which pressure is applied by scraping the skin with a massage tool until small petechiae appear. This invigorating treatment relieves chronic and acute pain by decreasing inflammation, improving blood flow and breaking up scar tissue.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Ultra-fine needles are inserted into the face, head and neck to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, tone facial muscles and improve blood flow. Visits also include facial guasha or facial cupping. We will discuss underlying imbalances that may affect your skin health and give lifestyle and diet recommendations.
